Scripture for the day: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew and steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
Grace Received: A big THANK YOU to Pastor Charlotte Moore for bringing the Word this past Sunday!
Tonight we we have an opportunity to worship together in the sanctuary at 6:00 for Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent. Lent is the period of 40 days where we journey with Jesus to the Cross and eventually, to the celebration of resurrection. Tonight we will pray, sing, read scripture, hear a sermon, and be reminded of our mortality with the imposition of ashes. If you’ve never attended an Ash Wednesday service I encourage you to come. It is a different kind of service and experience that I believe you will come to deeply appreciate. God has given me a Word for the Church and am anxious to bring it. I hope to see you here.
Grace Shared: Sunday March 5 and March 12 we will be conducting our annual church elections. All who are members of the church and have reached their 15th birthday will have the opportunity to cast their vote and help determine who will be leading Grace for the year ahead, and who will represent Grace this spring at the MidSouth District Assembly and NMI Convention. We are blessed to have great spiritual leaders at Grace and we have a strong ballot of those who have been nominated, accepted the nomination, and are willing to serve in the coming year. FYI Our fiscal year is April 1-March 31.
Grace Extended: Last weekend 22 families with their 47 children attended Warrior Weekend. Souls were saved, marriages strengthened, and the restoring work of God was happening everywhere. It was awesome! Of the 30 volunteers who served during the weekend, 23 were from Grace. This is one of the ministries you help support through giving and praying and God is using it to impact the mission field of soldiers and their families. Grace extended!
