Scripture: “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:10-11
Grace Received: Easter was a phenomenal Sunday! Aaron and Tiffany Potter shared their resurrection story against the backdrop of a beautiful sunrise as we sang, laughed, and celebrated what God has been doing among us. Later on, 3 Jr. High boys were led by teacher Matt Slight to accept the Lord of Life as the Lord of their lives in Sunday School. Several other adults did the same in our worship services. We celebrated with the Goguen’s in the dedication of Joshua, rejoiced with the 14 who were baptized and with Russ Russell’s affirmation of baptism. We had 982 people attend services and it was a great day! Thank you Jesus!
Interested in being part of our worship ministry? If you play an instrument, sing, can operate a computer, sound or lighting board, we have a place for you. Contact Pastor Bailey: firstname.lastname@example.org
Our remodel fund is continuing to grow. We are right at $40,000 of the $73,000 needed to complete the project. We are committed to doing this debt free so we won’t begin until we have the funds in hand. Keep giving 🙂
Grace Shared: I’m never quite sure where to put anything about Parents Night Out because it is a ministry to those within (grace shared) and beyond (grace extended) our Grace family. I wanted you to know that last Saturday night we had a record 160 kids at PNO! Thanks to 25 teens volunteers and 5 other adults who along with Pastor Rachelle put on a fantastic night. At least one family whose 1st exposure to Grace was PNO were back for services on Sunday morning. If you get a chance, tell Pastor Rachelle and her team how much we appreciate their ministry.
In a few weeks we will be having our annual church elections. A sample ballot with bio information on those who will be considered for the Church Board will be available this weekend. Please be praying now for our current and future leaders.
Thanks to all who have contributed to the scholarship fund to help send our children and teens to Camp Garner Creek this summer. If you’ve not done so (or have and would like to give more) now would be a great time to contribute.
Next Tuesday, Pastor Patrick will be leading volunteers from Grace to put on our first (hopefully annual) Sr. Class Field Day at NEHS. It’s going to be a ton of fun, and a great opportunity for us to engage our own neighborhood. If you’d like to help, contact Pastor Patrick: email@example.com
Many of you invited unchurched friends to join you for Easter. Now that you are in the practice of extending invitations, keep doing it! Bring someone this Sunday as we begin the Easter season together. It’s going to be great!
