Scripture for the day: “The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as lion.” Proverbs 28:1
Grace Received: Every time someone responds to God’s gracious invitation to a relationship with Him, it is cause for celebration. This past Sunday during Children’s Church 2nd grader Jonathan Eiland began his journey of following Jesus!
Tonight at 6:30 we will be hosting the Revive prayer event that is taking place all week at different churches in our city. Last night 80 people representing 9 different churches came together at Awaken Church to kick off this week of prayer. Join us.
Grace Shared: A newcomer to Grace stopped in to see me Sunday after church. After being with us for only a few weeks she said, “I just want you to know what a blessing it has been to find Grace. I love it here!” Thank you for showing her and others gracious hospitality and Christ-like love.
This Thursday night at 6:00 will be an equipping time for anyone interested in serving as an usher or greeter. If you’ve not yet found a place to serve this might be for you. Come hear from our head usher (Mike Rucker) and head greeter (Elizabeth Groover).
This coming Sunday we will be receiving a love offering for the family of Amanda Harper. Amanda is a young wife and mother with a very rare autoimmune disease that has kept her hospitalized the last few weeks. Eventually she will be involved in a study at Cleveland Clinic. Her parents and husband have been making multiple trips to Nashville and a lot more travel is on the horizon. We want to help them during this time so please come prepared to bless them.
: For the last several years we have taken international mission trips. We’ve been to Peru and the last 3 years in a row, to Nicaragua. This summer’s trip will be to Ecuador July 17-29. There will be informational meeting after the 11:00 service on Sunday, Feb. 9th. If you have any questions feel free to contact Charlotte Moore, our pastor of discipleship and missions: email@example.com
I continue to be amazed at how God is blessing the Warrior Weekends which the people of Grace have been so good to support. Our February 14-16 and May 23-25 retreats are totally booked. Your prayers and financial support is making it possible for 20 military families at a time to experience God in some incredible ways at our camp in Dickson, TN. If you’d like to sponsor a family for an upcoming retreat, you can do so for $250. Either mark Warrior Weekend on your check or you can give online through paypal at www.clarksvillegrace.org
