Scripture for the day: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:12-13
Grace Received: It was a joy to celebrate the baptism of Andrew Leiffers last Sunday. Welcome to the family of Jesus-followers! The next baptisms will be on Easter (April 20) so if you missed this one, plan to come to the Baptism Class Wednesday, April 2 at 7:00 pm.
The practice of hospitality is not just a ministry to strangers. Gracious hospitality is meant to characterizes the way the people of God in general, and the people of Grace in particular, relate to each other. The task of welcoming one another is not theirs alone, but our ushers and greeters fall into the category of the graciously hospitable. If you’d like to join their ranks, or learn a little more about the ushering/greeting ministry, come out Thursday night at 6:00 for an interest meeting. If you are interested in greeting but can’t come Thursday, contact Elizabeth Groover: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in ushering, contact our head usher, Mike Rucker: email@example.com
Grace Extended: I am happy to announce that we have a full roster (20 families) registered for the Feb. 14-16 Warrior Weekend at Camp Garner Creek. From the beginning of this ministry, Grace has led the way in providing generous support, making it possible to offer these retreats free of charge to participating soldiers and their families. If you’d like to sponsor a family ($250), make your check out to “Restoring the Warrior’s Heart” and either drop it in the offering plate or bring it by the church office. Please be praying for this as well!
