Scripture: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Grace Received: Yesterday’s storms have given way to this morning’s sunshine. While not all mornings are sunny, I am reminded on this day when the sky is blue and the sun shines bright that God’s mercies and kindness are new every morning. Today there are new measures of His grace, new opportunities to experience His faithfulness. Whatever storm yesterday held, today is a new day. Embrace it, and be embraced by the God of all grace whose love for YOU is great!
Grace Shared: Together. That is how this life in Jesus is meant to be lived. I saw that embodied again yesterday at Grace’s altars where no one prayed alone. I saw it in a crowd around Tim and Adina Schmidt praying for his upcoming deployment. I saw it in friends kneeling beside friends while people were conversing with God in response to the Word. It brought a smile to my heart to see at our altars what we are trying to incorporate into all of our life – a living out of this faith TOGETHER. If you haven’t prayed with or for one of your fellow travelers on the journey in a while, why not do it today? Pick someone in your Sunday School class, Grace Shared Group, who sings with you in choir or serves alongside you in some form of ministry. Pray for them. Then send them a text or an email, give them a card or call to let them know you did. Give them the joy of experiencing God’s compassion through your kindness.
A great big THANK YOU to Derek Cooke, Terry Hartsock, Richard Broadhurst, Joel, Alex, & Jason Sudbury for building a new set of stairs last Saturday on our Angel platform for the Drive Thru Nativity!
Grace Extended: WIthout a doubt, there are people in our community who need to experience the same grace and mercy that we have come to appreciate. God most often chooses to provide that through people – people like us. In the next few weeks we will have many opportunities to touch our community and I want to encourage you to be involved. How? Serve one Friday night at Room in the Inn – for more info talk to Brenda Russell:  Show up at Governor’s Square Mall the day after Thanksgiving and sing with our Flash Mob. Sing, play a part, cook, hand out hot chocolate, or serve on our prayer team for Christmas on the Cumberland (Dec 6-7) or the Drive Thru Nativity (Dec. 13-15). For more info contact Deborah We will have fittings for costumes this Wednesday night at 6.
