Scripture: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will be carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:3-6

Grace Received: Yesterday morning your pastoral staff celebrated together as stories were shared about the encounters our Jr. and Sr. High kids had at camp the last 2 weeks. God was faithful to speak to the 26 teenagers from Grace who went to camp. Some of our Sr. Highers (including my daughter Brooke) heard a clear word about what God has in mind for their future. Every one of our Jr. High kids who were not already walking with Jesus made a commitment to begin following Him. Praise the Lord! We still have 3 kids camps left this summer so don’t forget to pray for Pastor Rachelle and those who will be going.
Grace Shared: Starting today Nazarenes from all over the world will be in Indianapolis for the 28th General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene. There will be legislative meetings, worship services, Youth and Missions Conventions, and teen/children’s quizzing. A dozen of our children from Grace will join over 2,000 other kids who qualified for the world quiz which will take place on Saturday.  Major decisions will be made as 2 new General Superintendents are elected (we have 6 total). Please be praying throughout the next week that God ignites a new fire in the hearts of Nazarenes all over the world and that His Spirit continues to lead and empower us to fulfill the mission to take the Gospel into all the world.
On a personal note I want to thank Don Harris, Derek Cooke, and Kody Schutter.  When Michelle and I arrived home on Monday evening from Nicaragua these guys were repairing our front porch. It was a surprise, a blessing, and another reason to thank God for allowing us to be part of the kind of family where needs are seen, met, and grace is shared in so many ways.

Grace Extended: To all who brought items to be delivered to Oklahoma, THANK YOU! To all who gave, prayed, initiated fundraisers, prayed, helped with our auction, and prayed THANK YOU for making it possible for our team to go back to Nicaragua. (This year’s team included Chris and Aleshia Shaffer from Lifepoint Church here in Clarksville, and Craig Strong who came from a Nazarene Church in Washington state). It was a fantastic trip! We made great progress on constructing a home for Pastor Diego, his wife Raquel and their family (it will be completed before the end of the summer) and held a VBS with more than 90 kids who got to experience the love of Jesus through the lives of His followers. Our sister church in Masaya, Nicaragua was encouraged and God was glorified. You will be hearing more about the trip later but I want you to know how proud I am to serve alongside some of the most passionate, loving, and generous people anywhere. Thanks for having a heart for others both in our own community and in other parts of the world. You guys are the best!!!!
