Lifestyle choices.Scripture for the day: “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

Grace Received: Last Sunday at our monthly “Pizza with the Pastors” for newcomers to Grace, a teenager – who attended Sunday School for the first time in her life the week before – approached Pastor Patrick and shared that she wanted to  accept Christ. Annie started reading the Bible a year ago. She had an increasing awareness of the spiritual hunger God had instilled in her. That hunger  was satisfied when she became a follower of Jesus last Sunday afternoon. Praise God for His saving grace!
This Sunday is Mother’s Day and I hope to see you here!
We will have the “Children of the World” choir with us on Sunday, May 19th. That Sunday is also Pentecost and as is our tradition, we will be encouraging everyone to wear red that Sunday.
Grace Shared:  Camp season is nearly here and next week is the deadline for early registration.  I want to thank all who have contributed to our scholarship fund with anniversary offerings. Some have even given to this fund on their birthdays. If you’ve not contributed but would like to, I encourage you to do so this coming Sunday. We have at least a dozen teenagers ($175 per person) and several children who are in need of a scholarship to be able to attend.
Congratulations to Chiriga Moore who is graduating Cum Laude with an Associates in Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from APSU. She’s a member of Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society and a charter member of Alpha Theta Psi Honor Society for Non-Traditional Students. She is on her way to a Bachelor’s in Physics. Way to go!!!
Grace Extended: 20 families are registered for our 3rd Warrior Weekend which will be May 17-19! Volunteers from Grace will be there to help with childcare, recreation, small group leadership, counseling, and hospitality. Others from Grace have sponsored families and I’m asking all of you to be praying for the military families who will be attending. It’s going to be a life-changing weekend!!
