Scripture for the day:

“It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Luke 23:44-46

Tonight we will be hosting a community Good Friday service @ 6:00. Before there is a crown, there is cross, before a resurrection, there is death. We want to enter fully into this day that marks the day of Jesus’ death. I hope to see you here! If you missed the Maundy Thursday service last night and would like to listen to the sermon click on the “Don’t Walk on By” image.

We celebrate with Wade and Angie Whidden whose son Bryce became a follower of Jesus this week while praying at home with his mom. Praise God for His sweet, saving grace received by this little boy!

For all you early risers, the Easter sunrise service will be at 6:00 a.m. Outside if the weather cooperates, inside if not.

We will have a dozen people celebrating their baptism this Sunday morning at the 11:00 service – it’s going to be great!!!

Thanks to all who have been helping this last week! Mike Gougen and “The Paint Guys” repainted the children/youth corridors. James Benningfield wired a feed from our sanctuary camera to the foyer TV’s in case overflow is needed, and several others were sprucing things up as well. We’ll have one more work day this Saturday at 9:00 with work inside and out so if you can give an hour or 2 we’d greatly appreciate the help!

Congratulations to the NEHS Exit 1 Show Choir. Earlier this week they performed at a competition in Florida where they were awarded a gold trophy and grand champion choir trophy. The concert and men’s choirs received a bronze trophy. Hannah Madar and Joshua Houser are Grace teens who are in these choirs. Congratulations!

One family of 4 who will be baptized this Sunday came to Grace after attending our very first Warrior Weekend. Significant strides in their walk with God have been made because of your generous and prayerful support of this ministry to our soldiers and their families. Grace, your engagement in God’s mission to our community is making a difference!! I want to say thank you for living out your faith in very tangible ways. God is doing mighty things through you!
