Scripture: “… stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” I Cor. 15:58

Grace Received: A week ago Sunday Angela attended Grace for the 2nd time. During communion at the 11:00 service she came forward. The presence of God was almost tangible and evoked a sea of emotion in her. She was drawn to the Savior whose love and forgiveness compelled her to become a follower of Jesus!
I also wanted to give you an update on the Warrior Weekend and say THANK YOU to all who provided financial support, volunteered with childcare, and helped facilitate the small group times. God met with us at Camp Garner Creek! Soldiers and their families encountered God. Healing and forgiveness were experienced, and marriages were strengthened. Significant, and I believe eternal strides were made as God drew families to Himself and closer to each other. Thank you for helping make this possible!
Grace Shared: This month we are adding another home-based Grace-Shared group. We welcome Chad & Angela Tafflinger to our team of leaders and are excited about them using their gifts of hospitality and leadership for the common good.
handshakeI was at Camp Garner Creek last Sunday with the Warrior Weekend but my brother-in-law, who was here to work on a remodel project we are doing at home, came to church here. When I got home Sunday afternoon he shared what he had overheard a few hours earlier. A young Army couple who was at Grace for the first time sat right behind him. He said that before the service started he heard 4 different people approach these first-time guests and give them a good welcome. Great job showing some hospitality!
Grace Extended: It’s hard to believe we are 4 months away from sending a team to Nicaragua. Individuals are booking flights and making preparations for a week away and we are also preparing as a congregation. In the next few weeks we’ll have some details on what has become an annual auction for missions. Our goal is to raise $7,000 for the materials needed for our construction project. No need to wait till the auction to support this trip. You can contribute this Sunday by adding to your tithe check or giving a separate offering. Just mark “Nicaragua” or “Mission Trip” on the memo or you can give online through our website.
I missed seeing you last week! Looking forward to seeing you this coming Sunday.
Pastor Steve
