Scripture for the Day: “Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.”   Exodus 34:10

Grace Received: Revival services got off to a great start Sunday with evangelist David Gallimore! God was busy speaking through him and in every service (AM and PM) there was a faithful response to the Word Monday night as well. Those who had special encounters with God were encouraged and I believe God was honored in what happened here. I’m looking forward to the services tonight thru Wednesday (We will have dinner at 5 Wed pm – Cindy is fixing Parmesan chicken).  FYI – Pastor Rachelle is leading services for kids 4yrs – 5th grade all week and nurseries are staffed as well.
I am excited for all who are participating in the 40 Day Engage the Word emphasis. It’s not to late to get involved – you can pick up your Bible reading guide at the welcome center when you come for revival tonight.
Grace Shared:  Yesterday we celebrated 154 years of God’s faithfulness to our marriages. Congratulations to the following love birds and thanks for your generous support of our children/teen camp scholarship fund!

Grace Extended:  Thank you for helping make our first Warrior Retreat an amazing experience! (Future retreat are planned for February and May) This would not have been possible without the prayers and financial support of Grace Nazarenes.  10 couples encountered God last week at Camp Garner Creek and here is a sampling of what they had to say about it.

“I really enjoyed the small group time; it was comforting to be able to speak freely with other women without having to sensor my feelings because my husband was around, and being able to hear what God had to say about my experiences.  The free time activities were fun and I conquered my fear of heights.  Childcare was truly a blessing. There will be a meeting this coming Sunday after the 11:00 service for all who are interested in going on our mission trip to Nicaragua June 10-17. It will be a short informational meeting but if you are planning to go on the trip your presence is needed.

 

God wants our city to find life in His Son Jesus and He wants to use us to get the word out!  Specifically, he has called us to start with the goal of seeing 1% of the un-churched in our city find Him through the ministries of Grace.  With 87% of our city claiming no church home, the harvest is plentiful.  I’ve discovered that for many people, all it takes is an invitation. Extend one for someone to join you at Grace this Sunday.
