It’s All About Grace… Received, Shared, Extended
Verse for the day: “I have told you these things, so that you in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Grace Received: In the last few days I have heard from two parents who shared some wonderful news – their kids prayed to accept Jesus! Caleb Slate and Luke Adams experienced the joy of salvation and in both cases it happened at home. Mom and dad, there is no substitute for the ways God can use your influence in the lives of your children. God’s grace comes to them many times, through you. We rejoice with these families and look forward to these boys joining several others who will be baptized this Sunday.
Grace Shared: It doesn’t happen this way all the time, but last night one of our 2:42 groups spent an hour and ½ PRAYING before they even got to the Scripture. Group members shared a long list of praises and requests. As it says in I Corinthians 12:6 “When one part of the body suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” Praises were celebrated, burdens were shared and brought before the throne of grace. This life of following Jesus isn’t meant to be done solo. We need each other!
Grace Extended: We have several opportunities in the next few weeks to share the Gospel with those who have not yet found life in Jesus. During Holy Week we will gather on Thursday and Friday night at 7:00 to re-visit and remember the journey Jesus took for our redemption. On Easter, the Good News will be shared and an invitation given to accept the salvation that God offers to all who will believe in Him. It is a GREAT time to invite unsaved friends and family to come with you! The following weekend, April 9-11 there will be nightly performances of the drama “Baggage Claim.” Director Tara Yoder and her cast have been working on this evangelistic drama for several months. Plan to attend and to bring someone with you. Please keep these services and events in your prayers as well – and come expecting.
Easter Schedule:Sunrise Service at 6:00, regular services at 8:00, 9:30, and 10:45
