“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalm 103:11-12

Grace Received: What a great day Sunday!  In the second service, the altar was packed with people who were hungry to allow God to do in them what He did with the people we read about in Nehemiah 8. The same God who was at work in Jerusalem centuries ago, was at it again last Sunday renovating hearts at Grace.  It was also inspiring to hear about God’s faithfulness to Josh and Sarah Etson as Josh shared a powerful stewardship testimony.

Grace Shared:  Coffee tables and kitchen tables in homes all over Clarksville became tables of grace Sunday night as our 2:42 groups gathered.  Scripture was discussed, burdens shared, and prayers offered.  Relationships with God and each other continue to be strengthened in these intentional times of focusing on spiritual growth, accountability, and mutual support.  If you have not yet joined a 2:42 group but are interested, please contact Helen Etson hetson4@yahoo.com or Marli Adams marliadams@yahoo.com.

This weekend nearly 100 ladies from Grace will be going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for the annual women’s retreat.  There will be late nights, shopping sprees, and lots of laughs to go with Spirit-filled times of worship, an opportunity to hear from God, and the shared journey of following Jesus.  Please keep all of our ladies in prayer as they travel, and pray that each of them will have an encounter with Christ that will be meaningful and memorable.  Ladies, if you are going on the retreat but were not able to attend the meeting Sunday, you will need to be at the church at 5:45 tonight (Wednesday) to receive more information.

Grace Extended: They adopted the family (3 kids and a mom) of a staff member at Grace Nursing Home, bought the presents (toys and clothing) with their own money and went as a group to deliver the gifts.  Two of them served on different Saturdays at Grace House. Another prepared and served dinner last week at the Salvation Army Shelter. Do you know who I’m talking about? Our teenagers! Pastor Dwayne and our youth sponsors have developed teams of teenagers who have been busy extending grace by serving others.  Extending grace is not a one-time thing for them, but is beginning to be an integral part of how our teens are living out their faith.
