Grace Extended
Verse for the week: If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” I John 3:16-17
It’s all about grace:
Grace received – as we connect with God
Grace shared – as we connect with each other
Grace extended – as we connect with our community
I’m pretty fired up this morning! Here’s why:
50 boxes for Operation Christmas Child + $200 given
13 Thanksgiving Boxes for needy families
335 pounds of food given to Fishes and Loaves Pantry
9 Northeast Elementary kids are getting food every week
with our participation in the FUEL program
Our teens did a Rake (leaves) & Run last Saturday
2:42 groups are:
Collecting winter clothes for a local shelter
Sending Christmas stockings to an entire platoon in Iraq
Caring for a retired widower (not in our church – yetJ) who is alone and is having surgery, by cooking meals, cleaning, taking him to his doctor’s appointments
‘Adopting” a person who has no family
There are a lot of other things just like this being done all over Clarksville by Grace Nazarenes. As we continue to receive grace from God and share it with each other, God is opening opportunities for us to extend His grace to others. Thanks for all you are doing to put love in action. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Grace and peace,
Pastor Steve
