Our city needs us.
Verse for the week: “Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.” Psalm 119:133
It’s all about grace:
Grace received – as we connect with God
Grace shared – as we connect with each other
Grace extended – as we connect with our community
Grace was extended in great ways this last weekend! Several people came out to help with the NWHS project. It was a great witness to the booster club, football team, and community. While that was going on, another group was mobilized to help a young mother of two who works with Earl Arnold, and her cousin (a mother of 4) make her first month’s rent in a new apartment. Members of the Grace family also furnished the apartment so that these young ladies and their children could have a home (they had been living in a hotel). Love in action. Grace extended. It sure is fun to be the church!
Please be in prayer for the Northeast High School community. This weekend a student was killed. Tensions are high at the school today. Pray especially for Assistant Principal Matt Slight, Pastor Dwayne, and others who minister to the students and staff at NEHS. Our city needs us.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Steve
